The good ending requires a LOT more patience, stealth, planning, and optional objectives' completion than the normal ending ( calling it the "bad" ending is somewhat silly- it's the post-apocalypse!).
¹ Total pain in the tuchas if you ask me you'll drive yourself CRAZY not killing guys desperately begging to leave this world prematurely. You have to do a lot more wok ferreting out interaction opportunities, remembering (or noticing) that this game doesn't highlight animals, people, and items of interest…and that's a real pain in the backside because lots of interesting-LOOKING things aren't. In order to get the "good" ending¹, you can't rush through like you would in a timed trial. See, I can read and write English with more than a smattering of competence, while he obviously wouldn't know Strunk & White's Elements of Grammar and Style if it hit him on the head. I was completely and utterly baffled by what jr.miqell attempted to communicate. I know what a book is, I know the lore of the universe in which Metro is set, and I know what actually occurs during the game and what Dark Ones are, you completely misunderstood my discussion.
